PKP KEYPAD ALERT
After
some isolated reports from the field, we have determined
that all PKP Keypads (PKP-ICON, PKP-LCD and PKP-400) produced
and shipped since June 1, 2001 may have a faulty "keymat".
The result is that the Function Keys (F1 through F5),
and the keys Fire, Aux, and Panic (F.A.P.) on some PKP
Keypads may operate intermittently.
For
those dealers who do not enable the F.A.P. keys, this
may not pose a significant problem. However, for those
dealers who do enable the F.A.P. keys, we recommend the
following action.
Remove
those PKP Keypads in question and return them to your
distributor who will, in turn, send them back to DSC.
Your distributor will be receiving advance replacement
keypads with which they can supply to you.
If
you have any questions, please call your local distributor,
or either Shawn German (x2369) or Steven Bager (x2229)
at (888) 322-5424.
